It's been a long time coming, but I've decided to start learning how to draw while I have some free time this summer. I'll be posting a sketch or two each week to display my progress. Please don't expect amazing things out of me -- I'm a writer, not an artist! -- but feel free to leave any comments that you like.

I'm working from two books right now:

"Fun With a Pencil" by Andrew Loomis
"Bridgman's Complete Guide to Drawing From Life" by George Bridgman

Sketches I post will always be original works, based on what I've learned. Believe it or not, I can copy things pretty well, so I won't get much value out of posting them because they're not mine. I'd much rather show off my own work (whether I'm cartooning or rendering) than show off what I copied out of a book.
